AGM Rally, West Midlands Showground
Shrewsbury, SY1 2PF
11th -18th September, 2024
Our AGM Rally this year is being held at the Shropshire Showground, which is less than 15 minutes walk from Shrewsbury town centre,
The town, is almost an island, encircled by a meandering loop of the River Severn. Within its loop are distinctive churches, the red sandstone Shrewsbury Castle, beautiful timber-framed houses and a sweeping riverside parkland known as the Quarry or Quarry Park, with its landscaped sunken garden, The Dingle.
Shrewsbury is home to 660 listed buildings and most famous for being the birthplace of Charles Darwin. His statue sits outside Shrewsbury Library, the building that was once his school. TheAbbey has been welcoming pilgrims since the eleventh century and it sits just outside the loop of the Severn. When you’re finished exploring, Shrewsbury’s sleek bars, cosy pubs and highly regarded restaurants are waiting to revive you with excellent food and drink.
Further afield why not visit Attingham Park, with its vast grounds incorporating a deer park. In this central region of Shropshire, you’ll also find the impressive ruins of the fourth largest city in Roman Britain, at Wroxeter or Uriconium as it would have been known.
The site set on the banks of the Severn has on-site wash, toilet and shower facilities.
Pitch Fee: £24 / unit per night (inc H/S & EHU)
Rally Fee: £1 per person (Guests £10 per unit)
