Camper UK Fireworks Rally - Nov 2016
We arrived late Friday afternoon to the news that the fish & chip van had arrived and would we be having some, well who could resist ?
After we had eaten we went into the huge and warm marquee that Camper UK had provided for the great entertainment they had put on both evenings.
Seats were already found for John & myself, and I was immediately made to feel at home.
The sweet stall & beer bar were open, and you'd be surprised how many older children were buying all sorts. The lady comedian / singer was exceptionally good and the draught beers were only £2.00 a pint (half the price of the Lincoln Motorhome Show one month earlier)
On Saturday we waited and waited for the courtesy bus to take us to the main Camper UK Showroom, and into Lincoln if we wanted.
Having looked round the beautiful new motorhomes we decided then to walk along to Tesco for lunch. We were very lucky to catch the bus back with no wait.
On Saturday night the fireworks were short but sweet, and the hog roast was delicious. Both were included in the £12.50 per night site fee.
The duo was again good, and members were offering us all sorts of nibbles etc.
A lovely evening and good company.

Sunday morning arrived and guess what, it started to rain just a little. It was also very cold and windy, but Ray & Beryl carried on with coffee as if it was a brilliant sunny day. We heard it said that this was the worst coffee morning they have had.
There was plenty of laughter in this group and a very warm welcome from everyone, although we didn't win a raffle prize, & everyone else did!!!
But hopefully Ray & Beryl will invite us back again for another weekend.
Thank you everyone from Mandy & John.
