Harford Bridge (Tavistock) - June2016
This was our first rally with the club. We were welcomed by Beryl and Ray, taken to our pitch, and right from the start the SMOC Members came and introduced themselves, and we were made to feel so much a part of the club.Harford Bridge is a lovely site, family run, clean and well maintained with a hut available for our use at night. The adjacent bus stop enabled ralliers to travel to Tavistock and Plymouth.
Events on the rally just seemed to happen and everyone was included. One afternoon we had cream teas delivered to the vans to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. Another day we were taken by mini bus from the site to Morwellham Quay. This was once a thriving
inland port on the River Tamar, where locally mined copper and tin were loaded onto ships and exported throughout Europe. The site now enjoys World Heritage Status and was recently used for the TV series Edwardian Farm

We had a lovely barbecue on Saturday, such a shame about the rain, but we battled on.On the last night we enjoyed a lovely meal at the local pub, chauffeured there and back. What a treat! Then is was on to the 2nd site for week two.
