Minehead Rally
Minehead Rugby Club TA24 6TR
Wed 12th – Wed 19th July 2023
Minehead has long been known as “The gateway to Exmoor” and is a beautiful place to explore at any time of the year! The shops and town centre are just a short distance from the site and the sandy beach and historic harbour are only a 15-minute stroll away. There’s a 14th Century church on the hill and the much-photographed historic Church Steps, you can also take a walk down the tree-lined Avenue and visit the selection of tea rooms, pubs, and independent shops in the town centre.
Alternatively just rest a while and enjoy the flower-filled Blenheim Gardens, which can be found just off the town centre. The town has its very own museum, where you can find some very interesting facts about Minehead which you may need later!
Perhaps you can follow one of Minehead’s Storywalks, these are simple (free) digital trails, which are accessible through the browser in smart phones and tablets. Each trail is unique with a carefully crafted narrative, you just follow them like a bread crumb trail. In total there are 6 trails covering the towns Hidden Histories and Secret Stories. Pop into the Minehead Information Centre to find out more.
There are many coastal walks nearby and Dunster Village and the stunning Dunster Castle is just a short drive (even long walk away!). For those venturing a little further, Porlock and Lynton and Lynmouth are also home to some picturesque views.
The rugby club at Minehead provides a wonderful touring base for this area and the pitch whilst on grass includes EHU and use of the clubs’ showers and toilets.
Pitch Fee: £21 per unit per night (includes EHU))
Rally Fee: £1 per person (Guests £10 per unit)
Rally Marshals: Andy & Heather Hartell
Closing Date for bookings: Wednesday 31st May 2023
No arrivals before 1pm on any day
